aint no change in cam for k20a3 for vtec son. read up on your car man.
hks and invidia are the better.
also cant go wrong with greddy, spoon, mugen, or skunk

The best sounding exhaust is what you think is the best sounding.
Here is a link to some exhaust clips. (http://ephatch.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5486) The Magnaflow is nice. Great fit and finish. I know alot of people on here that have it,like it. I hear that it gives some decent gains too.

I've had/heard a few different exhaust on the K series motors, both the A2 and A3.
The Magnaflow sounds very raspy and dirty. Not too loud though.
Borla, quiet and clean... don;t like the quality or the install on their products.
Invidia/Skunk VERY VERY LOUD!!! VERY DEEP. Great sounding exhaust if you like them loud.
HKS HiPower, quite loud after breakin. Sounds nice and deep, not raspy.
Fujitsubo Powergetter is the best exhaust I have ever owned. Beautiful, clean sound, very deep and sonorous.

Skunk2! I love it. Nice deep tone, but very loud though. I can't speak for the other exhaust's, because i have not heard them in person.

I have the greddy evo, and the evo is really only known for its sound which is why I got it. But once you hear the N1 you will realize that there is no comparison.

BASICALLY: what ever costs the most is usually the best

What sounds best to me? Stock. It's a really neat sound, and doesn't piss off my neighbors.

Every exhaust I've heard sounds great at the track or at a meet, but whether it's Spoon or an eBay fart can, it's really annoying in the grocery store parking lot (draws a lot of unhappy glances from bystanders, too).

I guess that's what silencers are for.

02, I need to listen to your clips, but how loud was it on the highway?
I've noticed mine is kind of annoying at about 80 (sounds better going
90 ;) ), but otherwise I really like it. Definitely not raspy.

Disconnected! Hahaha... j/k kinda... I liked the sound of disconnected while I had it off. It was kinda burly. But when I had Tanabe on my other car. I like the deep tone till around 5500 rpms

Tanabe Racing Medallion was my first choice exhaust, I have heard it many times and have been quite impressed. The custom cat-back I had was only supposed to last me about a year untill more products came out into the market. Right when I was saving for the Medallion, someone was selling there HKS Hiper in the classified section for a great price (compared to the Tanabe, and they only had it for about a month on their ride). I am happy with the HKS, but in a few years I will have the Tanabe

Yeah, if you could try and get one of a slow roll by, a WOT fly by, and a parking lot exit, that would be great... Hahaha, sorry, so much to ask! :*

I just thought of something. This whole thread is a "Catch 22". What i think is the best sounding exhaust may not be the best sounding to some one else. Food for thought.

Magnaflow

But I'm cheap and I'm willing to pay less for things. The magnaflow isn't some APC Junk, it's a reputable brand, looks hot, and I like it.

Skunk2 always has my respect, but my wallet doesn't like that kinda respect.

Can't beat around $300 shipped.

Exactly. This has been an expression of opinions (thank goodness it hasn't been a debate, or even worse, broken down into name-calling), so I guess the most that can be taken from the thread is how often a brand or model gets mentioned.

After a month or so, someone should tally up all the responses. Even so, it still wouldn't be reliable -- how many people have actually heard the Spoon N1? What if that one, or another rare example, were to win over nearly everyone's heart if they only got a chance to hear it?

What do I think of this thread? It'll show the exhaust systems that are made in large numbers and don't suck.

!@#$%

Bang for the buck- magnaflow
Sound- Skunk2/Invidia, and HKS.
Looks- Neuspeed or Magnaflow.

I got my skunk2 setup for under 500 shipped. If I were to buy another exhaust today with what is currently available, it would probably be the magnaflow. The price is just too good. Dual tip too.

Uh, their build quality is damn near second to none plus its fits a lot better than many aftermarket systems I've seen. No low hanging midpipe here.
