Are the strut damper and strut bar the same thing?

I never heard of a strut damper, but I've heard of an engine damper

a damper is what used to be called a shock absorber. a strut is probably the short form for macpherson strut.

so, my guess is that you're looking for the macpherson strut with the shock/damper installed.
