Any of you guys out there running a intake manifold gasket from haondata or anyone else? I'd like to get your opinion, I hear the stock gasket transfers a lot of heat. i hear you can acheive about 2% more HP for 50 bucks.

It's better to be fast than to look fast.

Running the Hondata gasket. Not hard at all to install. Just time consuming. Anj (Anjapower) and myself did 2 in one day. Came out great with no problems. i noticed that the EP didn't bog down as much after driving it hard. Also, the intake manifold doesn't even get warm.

Here's the how to: http://www.ephatch.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=4004&highlight=hondata+gasket+install

So how much is it, does it seem worth the money? Any power gain other than when you get it really hot?

Read this for more info (including a dyno!) on the gasket. (http://www.hondata.com/heatshield.html)

I believe it was ~$65.00. I didn't buy it. Anj was nice enough to get it for me as I put in his MM and gasket.

Personally, I did feel a little more peppiness....I think it's a mod that shows more progress as you add other elements to the car.

i have the Heatshield gasket. it's not like you'll get gains like you would from any kind of I/H/E mod, but it's an inexpensive mod that's worthwhile. during the summer, you won't notice any difference because there's so much heatsoak from the engine bay. but during the winter, even with the stock intake, my IM only gets luke warm to the touch. it would be a nice compliment to a CAI.

Yes, like many mods, worth can be valued many ways (not just performance). Chunky has it (member here, he lives up north of Atlanta), and can help you with the install if you have any questions.

Go to the hondata website, they list canadian dealers.
I know a shop in Vancouver Garage5 is a hondata dealer.
Not sure about dealers back east though.
