Just wondering if anyone has these on their car. Do you like them? Is there any performance difference or is it just for looks? Is there much weights saving if any? Are they exactly the same size as the stock ones? And anything else that you would like to add would be great. Maybe some pics too. Thank you for any positive input.

these will give more strength and won't flex like the stock one would under pressure. Yes, it would be more of a "track" part, but also gives that "bling" effect for the street.

Not worth money imo.

from my understanding they let you run a slightly wider tire... by bringing it all in a little bit...

how much are these? do they have them for the rsx type-s? they look really good.

Stas03Si

They are like $180, I think. I would guess that they would be the same for the rsx, si, or regular civic, isn't the whole suspension pretty much the same, at least from what can be seen from the back.

yeah, they only really help for a wider tire, can't see it helping the suspension tension

Damn I wonder if the bushing in their is better, it might be worth it just for that and the possible lighter weight.

according to jim berry of spc, these are only worth getting if you are dropped w/ bigger, wider wheels coz they kinda help keep a proper alignment by kicking out the bottom of the rears a bit like they s'pose to be ( sumthin like that) but beyond that, stocks are jus as strong, but these slightly lighter, and are more bling.

A. STOP SAYING BLING!!!!

B. your car is dirty.

Stas03Si
01-15-2004, 11:51 PM
B. Well sorry, it was 20 degrees during the day and 12 right now.... That's as clean as its going to get...

How does kicking out the bottom help the alignment?

forget... something about helping take some of the weight load or sumthin like that. but i dont think the ones for our car does anything at all... i think these ones are just for looks w/ a slight weight savings.

Ok. I'm pretty sure these are the same size as the stock ones. The ones for the 99-00 Si's were a bit different as far as I understand.

Oh yeah!! So if you're looking to save a few pounds, letterally, lol,... plus the holes let the air go through and reduce some drag... yeah... maybe pick up one extra mph on trap speed...:D

01-17-2004, 01:57 PM
How did you get those 3 ten pointed bolts out??

Stas03Si
01-18-2004, 01:37 AM
The control arms come with a special socket thats included in the kit. Well I don't know if it can be called a kit, but 2 control arms, 2 stickers, 1 socket, instructions. It's very nice.
