The AEM CAI I recived from showstoppers has the AEM logo upside down when in the position it is supposed to be mounted in, and the aluminum part of it is peeling off the foam that binds it to the tubing. Is that normal?

It also came with a small dent on the lip by the filter, I straightened it out with pliers but it's not perfect, and it has a few other very small creases in the tubing.

I'm not sure if this is normal for these intakes, the box wasn't crushed though it looked a little worn, and it was unopened, so it obviously didn't happen at showstoppers or in shipping.

Will it affect performance, like breaking up the way the air flows, and is that kind of stuff normal for these intakes? I just don't know if I should keep it or ship it back......

That's the same thing that happend to mine that I bought for my old car. That is also why I dont have AEM now. I dont think it will bother the performance though.

Won't bother performance, good thing is when you install it. You can barely see it.
