Screw oem, if you burnt your clutch go get an ACT clutch, 6 puck haha, but for real get after market, comes in handy down the road for turbo/nos/sc upgrades.

What the hell are you doing on your clutch to make it wear after 40k. I just hit 40k on mine and it runs strong,

Do you rest your foot on the clutch pedal?

Come on tell the truth? Don't ride dax clutch meng!@

why is it not under warrenty?

Because civic SI's only have 3yr 36,000 miles on EVERYTHING, bumper 2 bumper, paint, drivetrain.

I know what it's like man to wear out a clutch though, when i had my 3000gt, i was a dumbass burn outs w/o knowing how to do it, resting my foot on the clutch, i went thru a clutch in like 12,000 miles, but the replaced mine under warrenty. I know it's a bitch though.

Clutch is never under warranty unless it destroys itself like a blow up or crack, it's considered wear and tear item like your brakes if you wear out your brake pads they wont warranty them because people ride the brakes and clutches keep you foot off the pedal

The clutch is not under warranty for the same reason as brake pads...the wear and tear on these parts is user dependent. Ie: one person may never replace a clutch others may replace it every other year...

Are you boosted?? can't see how you can fry a clutch in that short of time...do you like to do burnouts? are they actually burnouts, or are you really burning up your clutch??

Did you check with the dealer?

Also,

40k Kms' is only 24,000 miles.

I'm not sure how much 1100 canucks dollars that is, but it sounds high.

I would think you could get a clutch for like 300 bucks US dollars.

lol, dont feel to bad ive been threw 3 clutches in the ford f100, dang pos rebuilt clutches:rolleyes:

the first died of old age 125k miles. the second died because of powershifting, burnouts, and droping the clutch at full throttle in second;) my third and current clutch "died" after the rear of the truck started jumping bout a half a foot off the ground (Bad wheel hop) i poped something in the pressure plate because my clutch wont return :D ive checked the return spring but its still connected so thats not the problem. i dont really mind it being broken because ive only got to depress the clutch 1/2 inch until it hits the floor and dissengages, makes for some FAST and fun shifting.
