JDM Type-R cams intake and exhaust.

So these fit, anyone consider this as something they might want to do?

Mybe the head would have to be changed, I don't know. Would hondata be a good addition with these cams. I would consider this (kinda like how Toda has that package for the Type-S) as a good N/A set-up. Alittle more aggresive cam, hondata, and possible head upgrade http://importsouth.infopop.cc/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif .

would these cams also allow for the exhaust valve to open at ivtec now?

These cams were made for the 02 and 03's, I would assume it would work with our I-Vtec.

The type R cams are designed to be used in the K20A and K20A2 style vtech setup.
I don't think they will work with the valvetrain in the A3 head. Take a look at pics and info in myeverlovisir's head swap post.

you got to change the whole rocker assymbly and camshaft cradles.

in essence the whole valve train...this is for the higher lift the valves have on the type-s motor vs. the civic si.

Just get a type s head....it will be as much as aftermarket cams...;)

Yeah, they won't work on the A3 head, and those prices are way too much! I wish vendors would get their ads straight, especially when they post here.
