I remember these pics being posted here a long time ago, seems like I remember the report saying that street racing was involved and that both driver and passenger survived.

...that was a different EP/guardrail pic, the guardrail in the pic you are thinking of didn't go completely through the hatch....

HOLY SHIT. thats scary . wonder if they lived, cause it looks like it went right through drivers side. lesson to all of us slow down. highways are for driving not racing . although im one that should take that advies.

Who says that that is blood and not some type on engine fluid? I remember seeing this a couple months ago. I believe 2 guys were running from the cops in the ep, it was raining, and well, the rest is history, however, I do remember hearing that both men survived... These however are much better pics that the last ones...

Damn, maybe I'm weak hearted but that kind of stuff really gets at me...it's sad and tragic...and, from what everyone is saying, it could have been avoided. :'(

Doesnt it seem odd that the EP went right down the rail like that? Running from the cops or not.. Arent guardrails supposed to STOP you... not turn your car into a kabob.

I'd take them to court and see where it goes from there.

How could that have happened, unless there was a starting point of the guard rail thats not shown, I don't get how that happened.

That's exactly what I was thinking. There is no starting point and no ending point. Almost makes ya think "photo chopped". The world may never know.

He must have been haulin' ass to do that.

Maybe the rail began not far behind where the car ended up. It's not unreasonable for the car to "ride the rail" :smilem: for a distance if it was traveling at such a high speed. If this is indeed a photochop, then it's a pretty good job at that. Notice the guardrail supports that were knocked down in the last picture.

I totally remember that!! The kid driving and his passenger just left the movie fast and furious 2, thought they were in the movies y0 and at a high rate of speed lost it.

This happened here in the DFW area. It was either in Allen or Arlington, one of those. The occupants, driver and passenger, survived. They ran from the police after a fresh drizzle and lost control at about 100 mph and slammed staright into the gaurdrail. The sherrif who commented about it said thats what happens when kids fix up their cars and even commented that it was "rice" and full of stickers (other views show the car with stock i-VTEC decals, and sparco seat stickers).

From the new view of the back, I can see that the Si was equipped with a system too.

I can get other views tomorrow, I have the pictures on my other computer.

Look at the last rear picture. two wooden rail supports are lying on the ground. The ep just stripped them off the rail.

and that appears to be blood on the rail. when the car stopped, the injuries to the drivers bled a pool of blood on top of the rail. when he moved, or was moved it smeared. if it was engine or tranny fluid it would have been a smear going down the rail, not pooled up where the driver was located.

the driver must've gotten really messed up from this accident, that shit ran through the whole drivers side. crazyness! i never seen anything like that before... you can learn a lot from a bunch of dummies.

!@#$%

it pains me to see that. Not because the ep was trashed, but because nobody should have to go through something like that regardless of their IQ. I just hope that person lived.

seeing these sends shivers down me. i had a friend that died form a similar accident. his eclipse spun and the guard rail was detached from its wall mounting...he hit it backwards...but the result was the same.....i don't think anyone would photoshop something as F^up as these. i don't know how long ago it was but i definatly wish the best for the driver. No one would deserve to go out like that. I doubt they will have any effect on people, but hopefully someone who was speeding past and saw these will slow down a little next time. be safe guys....a car is tough...but it isn't indestructible..and neither are any of us.

Fawk'n morons. Why the hell were they running from the cops to being with? When you see lights flasing behind you, you pull over. Done deal, don't be stupid. Idiots. To be honest, fawkers should of died, leave more air for better people to breathe. Sorry for being an ass but that's me.

Whoa! Those guardails are pretty tough! It had to go through the grille, the engine comp., the firewall, two seats, and a hatch... I'd expect it to bend, but it looks like it didn't.
