02 with Stock Tires

My EP, when wet I motice my tires spin too much when wet. Especially on bumpy roads when accelerating. Would anybody recommend better tires then the stock Michelin tires we got. I think they suck, dont you?

Fine to me, although there was that one time when I hydo planed. Not fun, tires are not that bad to me. Do you want better all weather traction or performance. I think it is as good as it gets stock for all weather. Does Nitto Neo-Gen come in the stock size?

It's not the tires. I had the same problem until I lowered my suspension. They are one of the top tires that Michelin puts out. I lowered my tires and no more wheel spins.

They aren't the greatest tires and yes there are better tires made.

well first, those michelins that come on the car are junk, after i lowered my car i got Toyo T1S's and i love them, very good in the rain and in dry conditions as well. i highly recommend them. i spent about 120 a peice for then

so then i can use 205/55 on my stock wheels without lowerin my ep is that right or do i need to mod something?

what if he used 205/60r15 wouldn't that work and very little if any effect on the speedo.

i'm also in the market for new tires and i'm looking at these:
Bridgestone Potenza RE950 with UNI-T AQII
Toyo Proxes TPT
Yokohama AVS dB S2

all of them in either 195/60/15 or 205/60/15. So far the Potenza's have had the most positive ratings from this board and other places on the internet, but they aren't available in the correct speed rating (as far as i know).

so after that i think i may go with the Yokohama AVS dB S2's for the price and the reviews that i've read.

going from a 195/60 to a 205/55 only messes the speedo by .85. if you care about such a slight increase at normal driving speeds

Speedometer1: 60 mph 100 km/h
Speedometer2: 60.85 mph 101. km/h

Hey, I am about to order the 205/60/15 Michalin (sp?) Hydroedge, I know they are pricy, but I have to drive on some pretty heavy rain... They have 85,000 mile warranty and it seems like reports have said they are quiet, is there any reason I should not buy them on stock rims (asside from the speedometer being a bit off)?

I want to recommend these to you too, but I wouldn't be able to give your my opinion until tirerack pulls through!

205/60 will throw your speedo off more than a 205/55
