I think a superbike muffler would sound great, and SAVE WEIGHT!

not to mention it would look good!:D Look at the Spoon and mugen circuit racers in japan...small, compact titanium mufflers (I know that they are one off customs fabricated).

what are your thoughts?

it would be alot lighter that my ES' oval muffler.....much less my old HKS hiper muffler.

A long time ago a Type R owner put a sportbike can on his car and just about everyone on this site raped him on it. Personally I kinda like the look, but I don't know how well it would work, considering those mufflers don't handle much more than 1300cc. I do dig those race mufflers with the downtured tip you're talking about, though.

a 1300 cc sport bike at 15,000 rpms probably flows more air than our cars do! Look at the size piping they have!

Personally i am leaning tword a Yoshimura RS-3 titanium muffler!:D ;)

I have a friend who put a CF yosh canister on his old neon. It sounded and looked better that i expected.
BTW: The Yosh ti. RS3 tri-ovols are about $800 brand new (canister only).

Acropovic for Yamaha and Kawi
Yoshimura for Suzuki
Two Brothers or Jardine for Honda
Those are the types of pipes that the factory race teams use.
AMA and WSB.

Siman- don't you already have a HKS cat-back?

R.I.P : HKS "Custom" cat back ( universal N/A muffler and 2.25 midpipe and no resonator) I ran over a parking lot concrete bock at a subway in murfreesboro....dont ask how....:o

I now run a ES' oval muffler from JDMhondaparts.com, and am just looking for something new and "different" if you will. :D

I am currently planning to tune my car for backroads....kinda like the Touge challenge in japan....AJracing spoon sponsored EP3!

I like the idea of running a motorcycle exhaust on my EP. I have a twin D&D exhaust on my Ducati that I think would sound mean on a EP. I think if you are going to try this, you may have to go with a setup like the DC twin canister with 2 motorcycle mufflers for the higher flow rate. I'm not sure if 1000cc@13000rpm is the same flow rate as 2000cc@6500rpm. It sounds close, but I'd hate to choke the flow. (that's a lie, I really like to choke it);)
