Need help with Rear Bumper

Well I'm not a big fan on kits and looks but my rear bumper has a big,deep scratch mark from my father closing the garage door on it.

Should I have a body shop fill it?
Should I buy an aftermarket bumper?
or
Should I buy a new rear bumper?

I'm leaning towards replacing the whole bumper and gettin a kaminari rear lip kit since its not a big change. IMHO I think that most of the rear bumpers out now are rice. Opinions greatly appreciated.

The bumper can be repaired, any Dupont auto paint supplier sells a rubber bumper repair kit, it's basically a rubber filler that works similar to a sandable plastic filler (bondo)to fill the deep scratch, sand it smooth and then refinish the entire bumper.

Okay i went to Maaco and they quoted me $238 does this sound reasonable?

dont they do full car paintjobs for 299? i dont think thats reasonable (i heard maaco does HORRIBLE jobs... ive seen them too...paint drips EVERYWHERE...)

Thats what i though...we have a place here called earl shribe and maaco that do 199$ full paint jobs off there color list specials!

A whole car painted for $200-$300? Excuse me? lol

It costs $200 just to get a front bumper painted here. Where are you guys from? haha

Seriously I looked up some prices just curiously in case I ever decided to get a different color (type-r yellow or etc) and it looked like it would be around $4,000 - $6,000 for a decent paint job.

Ya i guess maaco just runs a different kind of business where i live...It cost me 1100.00 to put my body kit on and paint it, will run about the same as you said for a full color change. My friend got his car fully repainted, molded kit, aftermarket hood and wing painted for 4,000 even.

wow wow take it easy pals. Does $238 sound reasonable to fix my rear bumper?. I wouldnt pay $200 for my whole car to be painted.Crazy tings I hear.
