is there someplace online that sells the mobil 1 filter (m1-110) and oil (5w-30)? locally, i can get the filter for $11.95 each and the oil for $29.34 for six quarts.

i've searched the web and all i get is a bunch of amsoil comparisons...

I used the 0w 20 mobil 1 for my first change and I've since had NO oil consumption with 3600 miles on the motor. I honestly think it starts so much easier on cold mornings using that low of weight oil. Good Stuff;)

Honda-branded oil is the Mobil Drive Clean. Mobil1 is full synthetic and is quite a bit better. There are better oils, but none at the same price of Mobil1.

I use Mobil 1 0W-20 on my car. It is made for 5W-20 motors. I can personally vouch for Mobil 1 and here is why. Being a syn you dont get the sludge and grime. I had an 88 accord lxi with 250,000 miles on the motor, and a family member had a 88 accord lx with 50,000 miles, both cars were baught brand new. At 250,000 miles on my lxi, the motors internals were clean as heck, i could see my reflection on my oil cap, however, the 88 lx with 50,000 miles was full of grime, and it was run with normal honda brand oil. The engine on the lxi runs like it was new even with the ammount of miles. Its going to be a little mroe expensive to buy the mobil 1, but you cant go wrong, especially if you want the car to last. But if you wantto use mobil 1, your gonna have to buy the 0W-20, they dont make 5W-20. But it says on the packaging its made for 5W-20 motors, hope this helps you.

I also use the 0w20 mobil 1 --- works great... I race the car hard regularly and have had 2 changes since switching to synthetic.

Nothing but positive results so far... lol, I honestly dont know how you can tell if the oil is any better than honda oem, but it works and stays generally cleaner (when changed) than normal oil.

When I searched, all I found were websites saying that amsoil was better than mobil 1 and you have to change it less.

Amsoil is really good oil. I'd never use it though because of their scumbag marketing full of BS results. Talk about your pyramind marketing and snake oil salesmen.

Are you having trouble finding M1 locally? It's fairly common and carried everywhere. If a place doesn't have the 0w20, they can order it for you.

If a place doesn't have the 0w20, they can order it for you. i'm looking for a place that sells both the filter and oil online, cheaper than i can get it locally. the only place that sells both near me is 20 miles or so away. call me lazy, but i'd really rather just put in the order online and have it droped off at my house, as long as it's cheaper. if it the cost is the same, i guess i'll just drive the 20 miles...
