i just did my first under body neon, street glow gold line (red) looks pretty good, man our cars are so flat on the bottom, with a drop there is not much room.

the cops might hastle you a little more, but i tend to turn them off when i am racing someone or speeding, which meens i don't drive with them on a lot except for at the "strip" in dallas

hahah tell me about it... i got pulled over for having that on in a parking lot :mad: , he was those undercover cop :( .. the dick was about to give me a ticket for the exhaust too, but he ended up giving me a warning.

u might be able to get away with the neon in dallas, dallas is actually extremely leniant, but garland, plano, richardson , etc., u might be screwed, i doubt u will be hassled about it but just fyi, it is highly illegal to have any aftermarket bright lighting devices that would cause impairment of vision, blindness, etc., to any and all oposing drivers on a public road, also bro its red which is for emergency vehicle only, so if u get pulled over by a dickhead, get ready to hear that crap and excpect a $150-$200 citation, just my 2 cents nobody bash me for this please (;)i will be attending the police academy in a while if any of u were wondering how i know my shit;))

i talked to a police officer who told me that it was legal so long as you can't see the lights themselves, the glow is not illegal. also i didn't put one in the front so no one would say anything about the red color and it to low.

As for me, I decided to with an off-name glow company.

Plasmaglow....

I got the 7 color LED Underglow kit.

I find it to be the sweetest thing around..

You get 7 colors u can switch to, the LEDs are pretty bright, although when compared to neons, neons are more constantly lit, whereas LED's are kinda bubbly. Also I have 9 different modes i can choose from when displaying this rainbow of glory. One of which includes pulsing to music...which of course is an essential.

I got it cheaper than retail ($399.99), for $240. Yes it is more than a Neon kit, but its got 7 colors!:D

I couldn't be happier with it, cept for that i busted the front end and replaced it twice just b/c my (Cough cough) 94 accord kept hitting these parking blocks.

PS i just got an upgrade for it and now i can turn on my glow, change colors, and modes remotely, hella nice =)

I always though Yellow looked the best with euro yellow!! I think they make a Gold color but it looks the same to me!!

i have the streetglow gold series too on my black si, the neon is red, and it looks amazing on black. problem now is it broke in the accident and i got a new tube but then realized another broke so i got some work to do.... i will post a pic of my custom switch in the free space next to the hazards sometime, its a professional looking setup....... later, dave

a question for the people with neon... how did you wire this up. I.E. where is the switch? Did you wire it inside, if so.. where was the hole through the firewall to hook up the switch. I plan on getting some neon here shortly for shows, but I need to have the switch to hook it up. I can wire everything just fine.. just dont know where to put through the firewall.
