I was having a nail taken out of one of my tires the other day at pep-boys. This jackoff comes up to me and says "Hey buddy, I like your focus." I could have strangled the guy. Then another incident- I was at the gas station. The guy comes on the intercome and says "pump 7 is on for the blue focus" Needless to say i had a few words for him when i went in to pay for my gas. Is it just me or am i over reacting? I mean come on yea they are both hatchbacks-so what!! If you put them both next to each other I think that they look nothin alike.
Im about to put a damn sticker on my rear window saying FOCUS KILLER!!!

Haha...that's just great. I was exactly the same way when I was a kid. I've always been all about cars; wanting to learn everything about the models, engines, etc. I guess that's why I was obsessed with Car And Driver when I was like 9 :D Something about a kid that knows his/her cars that hasta make you smile, ya know?

Just a few months ago I was stopped by a cop for not having my front plate displayed and after looking at my EP from the rear and looking at my registration, he commented that "this is a pretty nice lookig Focus. What year is it?" Another time I was out detailing my EP and three or four cops that were walking through my apartment complex stopped over and started looking at my car. Damn guys...we all need to head over there and set some things straight. Nothing bad about the focus, but Honda had a hatch before the focus was even an idea...so they need to shut it...all hatches look similar...we could say ford was copying the 92-95 hatch or that the 4 door focus was copying the civic...blah blah on and on...lets go set them straight! :D

Ended up paying 15,300 for mine. Of course I drove not even a mile down the road to a gas station for a drink and someone came up to say nice focus. Kinda sad considering it still had 2003 Honda Civic Si written on the windshield in neon paint/shoe polish/chalk whatever that stuff is.

Anywho I was actually considering a Focus SVT (Blasphemy I know) since my parents bought me a Ford Ranger a for my 16th birthday. Thought I would get a customer loyalty bonus if I got another Ford, but I found my Si for that price and jumped on it. Besides, it puts the SVT to shame in looks and performance. The fact that it makes 160hp on regular 87 octane instead of requiring premium is very nice right now considering gas prices avg around 1.48 at the moment.

That's my .02 cents for now, back to lurking on the Electronics forum ;)
