I've got an AEM CAI, and a custom mid-pipe, and have the DC header on the way, hopefully will be here this week (showstoppers do you see this j/k;) ) and I can get it put on this weekend. If so I will let you know.

Is it going to be a big difference? Depends on how picky you are on your car. If you're like me and notice a slight change in engine noise, notice the slight drag in power when the gas tank is full...or care that your gf's side of the car is always dirtier than yours then yes you might notice a difference in the higher RPMs and a loss of torque in the lower RPMs.

But if you don't care and don't notice anything about your car...you will probably be disappointed with the results. I drove my friend's 03 Si with a AEM CAI, Comptech header, DC exhaust and I was disappointed with the results...to be honest, the lost in low and maybe even mid range torque isn't worth it and I still think my car is faster than his. But we will see when he comes down this weekend ;) Maybe I was expecting too much from his car since he had all those mods but I certainly wasn't impressed. Just my 2 cents.

I'm pretty sure it was $298 shipped from showstoppers and I'm sure it will be here soon.

performance wise, the header won't give you noticable gains. It will make your exhaust sound smoother and more mellow. It did on mine.

When i put my DC header on i noticed a difference between 4500 to red-line. On the butt dyno of course. I maybe lossed a little low-end and mid-range, but couldn't tell a noticeable difference. I raced one of my friends recently and won all three times. I have I/H/E and all he has is a Injen intake. From a kick, i pulled him 2 car lengths. He even noticed by car surging foward right before i shiffed. I told him it's the header.

The DC header is actually the only engine mod i am down to these days, well that and hondata. im sure the car isnt the fastest in the 1/4, but it never bogs down low, nice little surge up top, and silky smooth all the way through. oh yeah, that nice mellow tone is cool too. :D

you lost .25 after adding header to the rest of this setup is what you are saying?

blame it?

whatever man...

Prior to the header I ran consistent times on multiple trips to the track, added the header, blammo better times... Im not blaming it... I know its becuase of it.

EDIT: okay, I see whats going on, I said lost .25 meaning... quicker times, you guys assumed I meant gained .25 as in slower times... play on words... sorry guys, my car got .25 quicker with the header.

when i threw on the comptech header, my motor felt like it could finally exhale!! headers only make things better for your car, unless youre thinking of turbo... then it'd be a waste of money..
