sounds about right but you have to take into consideration their paint process (includes how many coats of paint). Don't go too cheap on the paint because you will not get the quality that you want. trust me...

Oh my thats alot of money. I got quoted $500.00 for the same kit installed. Is that price juss painted not installed? Maybe if you buy your own paint it would be cheaper that way. I juss dont see how it could cost close to a thousand dollars for paint and install.

are they just painting the kit? or are they blending the frnt bumpr, back bmpr, quarter panels.... and so on? cus i work in a paint shop, and to paint JUST A KIT, W/O blending anything seems kinda expensive. but then again, it also kind of hard to match the color exactly. but then again, if your car is black, paint is cheap, and you don't have to blend ANYTHING.

is it the usdm type r lip kit? that sounds way too much for just paint. maybe because you live in the midwest. i heard prices are higher there and back east.

i use to have a 95 civic coupe, i painted it myself. it was a typical base/clear paint job, but it waas kind of like taffeta white with a dark purple-ish blue pearl. guess how much all the materials cost me. remember, the whole car...

...cost me a little less than $350 usd:)

well, i think thats a bit much as well. i spent 250 for the paint (shit was like 100 a quart) and having it painted. then another 120 for install. that was for the usdm lip kit (from showstoppers of course) and a ctr wing. i had it all done in one weekend too. hows that for love. i got a lot of friends that like my car and are willing to do the work for basically nothing. oh, and i spent thirty on double sided 3M tape.

edit: dont spend a grand for paint and install. dont skimp on paint, but you can do the install yourself. its not hard, just grab a friend to help.
