I want one of those but the shipping costs to Germany will be too much, maybe more than the cover itself. :( :(

how much weight does that save? sounds silly but that stock piece must weigh what, 2 lb's?

This is borderline rice

To be honest it is lighter then the stock piece but you wouldn't buy this to be lighter. You would buy it because you like the look of carbon fiber. So a carbon fiber dash kit (your adding weight)is rice? A carbon fiber lip kit (your adding weight) is rice?

Oh, come on Dunny. You know you want one.;)

this is classy and tastefull. Its not rice. You have a fucking warped sense of what rice is my friend.
Its called SHOW not rice.
Rice would be if it had a spoiler on top of it =-)

Bah. The only reason I'm even remotely interested is because that piece would prob hold more weight (ie flush mounted amp rack) than the stocker. I could only imagine how much it costs :(

I'm not gonna get into the whole rice thing cuz everyone has their own definition of rice and another flame war will start...

Anyway, if someone's looking in the direction of weight reduction by getting that piece, they might as well just leave that cover out all together.

Oh, and by the way, can those strings that pull the stock cover up with the hatch be attached to that? I don't see them in the pics.

Yea good question. I use my hatch a lot and I would not want to dammage the CF.

They can be attached but I figured most people who purchased this wouldn't want them. If I had drilled the holes then there wouldn't be an option.;)

pLopSI

yea... I would wonat the string hooks too. Is there any other way we would be able to attatch the strings w/out drilling? I don't recall how the strings attatched to our originial one, n' a lil to lazy to take a trip to the car rite now.

N' so how much was it?

The strings on the stock piece go through it and there are little metal rivets that hold the string in place. The strings are then clipped to the sides of the hatch.

I dont believe there is an alternate way to accomplish attaching the strings without drilling AND making it look clean.

Oh, and I think that Showstoppers is selling them for $265 shipped.

These little things are sweet! First one goes on my car but we got a whole lot more coming...

We tried to make it affordable as possible but everytime we got cheap on this thing it started looking worst and worst. With price comes superior quality so...

$265.00 shipped, $240.00 picked up, first four are now available and 6 more by early next week. Call us to order at (818) 243-0954...

Thanks!

If all these carbon fiber parts are useless...then why is the mugen ep composed of mostly carbon fiber? ;)

Don't get me wrong, I think that piece is hot. But the reason that Mugen EP has so many carbon fiber pieces is to reduce weight and if they replaced the stock cover for a c-f one, that would be retarded because they can save more weight just by taking it out all together.

I saw some rice/useless comments and started thinking before I posted what I'd say...I thought I'd say...well, I'm a ricer then, because I like it and I know it's usless and I'm buying one...but then again...

buying new rims, when your stock ones work just fine is useless...buying an aftermarket intake, exhaust, header is useless when your stock ones work just fine...buying a turbo is useless when you have a speed limit, should I go on? nah...basically everything we do, that's right every single one of us are completely riced out...we spend money to replace and add on shit to a car...that is brand freaking new and runs just fine...mean while the money we throw away could be used to help that poor homeless dude in the city, or help that kid dying of cancer, or that person that needs a kidney transplant, or that child that is in a third world country with no hope of a free life....Damn...where am I going with this?

Maybe I'm just saying...that we aren't perfect...live it up.

Oh, and damn, I almost forgot...I was going to buy one...but that price is waaaaayyyyy to much imo...that's just my .02

my whole perspective is life has its ups and downs and modding my ep and my past 11 hondas before it makes me happy so its something i do every once and a while to make me happy and something i do for myself. i used ta dump all my dough inta my cars but im getting older now and i can really appreciatedoing something so every once and a while. Just enjoy guys, you work hard for your money you can enjoy modding to make your selfs happy, we deserve it!!!!
And this piece is a bit pricy, but i do want one eventually, gotta wait til i really have some dough laying around to buy this, very nice tho.

The reason I want to mod my car is to have a car that looks different from many cars and so that is has my personality showing. Just having a car that looks stock is OK but having a car that when I go out to a parking lot and see it and know that it is yours is a great feeling.
