Started to working on this since hmm.. While ago.
I was going to relocate hazzard button to 12v Cig plug right under shifter console but, Wireharness for hazzard button isnt long enough. So i decided to put s2000 start up button in cig plug button. I am still trying to figure out wiring. I am kinda lost. Take a look at diagram below.
http://www.excy.co.uk/type-r/StarterButtonSchematic.jpg
I dont quite understand where 30,86 wire taps into.
87, wire taps into Starter wire, which is Black/White.
Can anyone explain this diagram please?
Anyways heres progress pictures.

I cant take apart damn steering column cover now. I removed 3 screws on the bottom though.I dont think i will be using relay. if button works without it
I hooked up power and ground wires. Button lights up when i put key to acceosories. I just need to hook up starter wire (black/wire). Any idea how thick the wire is? I need to go buy tap in connectors.

This is all i did. 3 wires coming out from s2000 starter button. one fo ground, power and starter wire. I got power and ground from cig plug. Then last wire is just directly tapped into starter wire(black and white) from ignition plug(brown). Works perfectly. Wiring was pretty simple than i thought it would be.
Heres pictures.
Starter wire(black and white)

Nice. When I do mine I still would like to put my hazard button where you put the start button. I'm guessing you probably would have done the same if it weren't for your voltmeter.

I like the clean look. I would've never done that spot b/c it IS the power outlet thing. But, it's nice.

I'd move the power outlet to the empty slot next to the hazard light. It should had been there in the first place. Then the start button on the bottom.

When you say OEM cost around 35-40, do u mean I can go to a dealer and buy it for that price? And when you say OEM switch doesn't require relays, is the one from clubrsx u bought is OEM? Do the ClubRSX store sell em or got it from a RSX-member?

Do I need the harness? Or can I just solder something on myself to the backing? Like you said, I don't need the relay, so that is out of the way.

I gotta quit it with my questions. I want to do it, but I need to stop spending money on eye candy. So, end of story, no button, heheh. I'm gonna hear so many things from my girl friend if I do this one.
