View Full Version : could i install the motor mounts?

hey do you guys think the motor mounts could be done at home?
i have a fair amount of mechanical know how, but i do have the money to have them professionally installed.
i was thinking of paying for it since i heard a quoted price of 50-100
how would you guys rate the difficulty?

It' is do'able at home.
Rear is semi-easy.
Front is kinda hard if you are by yourself.

Yes you can do it at home, PM Chunky. He has done his own install, so he could help you.

i did mine at home and did it in an hour and 10 minutes. pretty damn easy IMO

Wait,
are you talking about REPLACING YOUR MOTOR MOUNTS, or putting in ES INSERTS?! Theres a big difference there, say like 400 dollar difference

the es inserts are well worth it if u can deal with more engine viration,but it will elimnate wheel hop on launchs. it improves conering alot to
oh and i dont know about a 10 min install. it took me a another guy much longer then that ,but i never did mm before too.

yes sorry i am talking about the inserts and not brand new MM.
i was planning on having someone do it, as i am not really able to be without my car too long.
