i was reading the new motor trend magazine and they were comparing the chevy malibu, honda accord, mitsubishi galant, and toyota camry. they ran each and this was the outcome,
malibu: 15.6 @ 86.20
accord: 14.91 @ 92.84
galant: 15.09 @ 90.95
camry: 15.62 @ 88.03
does anyone think something should be done by honda to up si performance. many stock si's are running low 16s, how is that a performance minded civic. its seems to me that since the 99-00 si's were running 15.7 that the new ones should have been a big improvement especially since many cars on the road are now averaging better times than that. sorry it just seems a little embarrassing to run 16s or high 15s in the supposely performance minded civic that honda dump on us. they should put the ex vtec motor in the dx and lx models, put the current si motor in the ex, and then give the si something to contend with the rest of the market. honda was the best to begin with in the sport compact market, but somehow the usdm honda market is now behind everyone else. sorry bout the long post just wanted to vent a little.
