i plan on getting some rota slipstreams in 16x7. ive tried searching... but i just get a bunch of different answers. i want some falken azenis cuz ive heard alot of good about them. but im not sure what size to get. would 215/45/16 fit alright? i want them as wide as possible... but i dont want them to look smaller than the stock tire diameter... id rather them fill the wheel gap more than give more wheel gap. i also plan on a drop from H&R springs... but i dont want a huge gap after a drop still. should i get coilovers so i can drop it farther than 2 inches like fishboys? help me out guys please... im new to this game.

stock diameter: 24.2 in
215/45/16 diam: 23.6 in - section width: 8.3 on 7 inch wheel
205/50/16 diam: 24.1 in - sect. width: 8.4 on 6.5 inch wheel
215/50/16 diam: 24.5 in - sect. width: 8.9 on 7.0 inch wheel
205/55/16 diam: 24.9 in - sect. width: 8.4 on 6.5 inch wheel

section width will change depending on your wheel width.
I would personally go with 215/50 but remember the only tire in this size (as far as I know) is Kumho Ecsta.
Good Luck.

with 16's I would go with 205/50 or 55's with a moderate drop. IMO it would look pretty Bueno;)

215/35/18... yea, 215/45-55/16 should be fine. i wouldnt try to fill the gap with tire. use a suspension to do that. but i warn you... you'll be puttin in more and more money when you do... ground controls, camber kit, new shocks. then you'll want strut bars and four point cross braces and tie bars, then full coilovers, then roll bars, and six point cross braces, floor bars, better coilovers, then better wheels, better tires... oh wait, we talkin bout you, right? never mind...

I have the same problem. I already have the H&R 2" drop on stock shocks and the wheel gap is perfect! I dont want any more gap so I am going with a 16x7 and prob. a 205x50x16 or a 215x50x16. As for suspension I live in a very flat area with good road conditions my stockers have not given me a prob. yet but I do wish to swap them out with some Koni yellows. I was hoping we would have some more direct fit options by now but unless you plan on racing or adjusting you ride height for diferent seasons you dont realy need adjustables. To me they just seem to give you more room for error and the tendancy to want to drop too low. For novice drivers on the street to autocross adjustable dampening is your best way to go like the Konis. Didnt mean to blab on but Ive been looking into these same options since ive had my EP.

dude... jus get ground controls, slam your car to the ground, and get camber kit, and then shocks... one of the first things i did to my car within a few months of owning it. loved the ride, but crossbrace and strut bar improved it. never have problems tuckin any size wheel. if i want tuck, i have tuck... if i want gap, i have gap.

well i dont have that much money... so springs is what ive decided on. i wont ever change the adjustables anyways... so its ok. i just need to know what tire size is the best. is a 215/45 too small? or should i find a 215/50? i need to know!

i have 205/55 dunlops on my stocks... 215/35 on my 18s... i'd go with 50s on 16s...
