A friend of mine needs her front strut replaced.

Is this doing the same process as the springs?

What's the difference between shocks and struts?

It's the same process.

In the strut the spring is incorporated into the shock and one can not work without the other. A shock can be replaced and have nothing to do with the spring. That's just how I understand it.
