No one has pointed this out that I'm aware of. I was at an auto show looking at the clearance between the rear driver's tire and the fuel pump cover I believe. The clearance is very small, and I wanted to see on the '04's, with the new tire and wheel combo, how much space was left. Anyway, on the '03's and older, the cover was plastic, as was the fender liner. NOW, it is more of a carpet material which will block more road noise and splashes from puddles etc. I know the new Acura TL uses a similar carpet-ish material for the fender liner. You can see it at the dealerships. So, for all you guys with the exhausts that drone on the freeway, maybe this will help if you really care that much. Just wanted to point it out.
