Hey, this is the suspension moderator over at 7thgencivic.com. I know I dont have a hatch but our suspensions are almost identicle and I know a few people here were interested in them so here's my review....

When I heard these were out I knew I had to get them. It comes with tokico shocks, 3 locknuts(opposed to 2) and upper mounts all for only $650 shipped from www.urbanimport.com. The main thing that separates this from teins, b&g or kw is the 3 locknuts.

Advantage of 3 locknuts: You know how most coilovers, lower you go worse the ride. Well that

Good review. Any idea on the spring rates (so we could compare them
to the Teins/others for the Si)?

do they have a specific application for the 02 civic si? or is that still in developement? up to 4" drop

Sorry I dont think they have a specific application for the SI's. I believe the EM2 ones fit without mods tho. Well you might have to make the hole in the front strut bigger but thats about it. Or you can use RSX ones but you might have to shave a little off the rear mount and may need RSX tie rod ends.
I think EP3s use EM2 tein ss coilovers tho right? I know a lot of ep3 people use EM2 springs tho...

Spring rates:
01-03 Civic 6KG/8KG ~ 335lbs/448lbs
02+ RSX 8KG/10KG ~ 448/560

So ya the spring rates are the same as teins.

I'm also very interested in learning about application on the EP3.

Guys, once I do my taxes I will be getting these. $650 shipped is a great price for them. I had another thread open about these and was unsure about them. After this post I am ready to get them and let everyone know how they are. Thanks again VNlilMAN your review has swayed me to the hayame's over the teins.

get the rsx ones , cuz the spring rates are way better.

You get the RSX, you'll need to replace your tie rod ends (45bucks), and shave you strut hole (Irreversible).

No camber plate, I guess sts class is out of the question.

I will probably go with the 01-03 civic ones. I know the spring rates aren't as good but I do not want to shave the strut opening. Hoping to have these on sometime in early/mid feb.

The spring rate is the same as the Tein Basic kit. I've never heard anyone complain about the Teins having a bad spring rate. Also, Tein only has one product for the EP3 and the EM2, and if those fit without mods, shouldn't these? This kit seems to be much nicer than the Teins with upper mounts, adjustable lower mounts, and a nice price. I just want to know how they can offer such a low price. Maybe they cut corners somewhere.

FckdUpPup, did you ever purchase the hayame coilovers and install them?

No never did. When I called Urban Import they told me that they would not fit at all. Something with the top mount I think. DOn't remember exactly.

He did say however that they will be carrying D2 racing full 24 point adjustable coilovers soon. Priced around $700. I've been trying to read about them but haven't found much.

I want something under $1000 and adjustable, though an H&R cup kit would make me happy too. WHo knows when they will be out. I don't want the tein basics as I have read of clunking noises coming from them.

RIght now not much is going on. It seems like whatever is out is out. I don't like my choices.

Well that's my story...........................

I hear ya brother. Something under $1000 even without dampering would be good for me too. I just don't want to get springs and shocks then you are stuck with that height.

Are you saying they will fit?
I emailed Hayame a week or two ago but have not recieved a response from them.

logically, they should. The Tein SS's (or is it the Basics?) that everyone is using are not for the EP either, they're for the EM2 and they fit.

Has anyone installed these on their EP? If so, what's your review? I searched, but couldn't find EP specific reviews.

Ah the Haymane, I have asked the same question.
Based on what VNlilMAN has said he would take the D2 over the Haymane any day of the week.
I know that he does not have an EP, but it is close enough.
