Why would that guy be selling his new Si so cheap? Seems fishy to me that he'd put all that money into a 'show car' then sell it on auction for probably half of the total cost (unless of course he is a rich sob).

umm i assume you understand ebay entirely well. The starting price is not what the item goes for thus they are called auctions. This car still has 8 days left in bidding, and most of the price increase in an item tends to happen in the final hours of bidding. In addition adding a reserve price to auctions usually deters a great deal of bidders, thereby reducing the final auction price.
