wow! not sure if you saw it, but we repeated ourselves like 5 times :D anyway, where did you get those spring rates at? and were they for the type r?

I got the spring rates off of Kingmotorsports.com

Mugen quotes the EP3 stock spring rate at 256/419 with their kit inc to 283/439.

So if it is the Type R they're quoting then ours should be even softer. I think its the US EP3 that they are quoting IMO.

I was just curious cause I saw your specs then saw what Mugen was saying thats all.

sweet, I think I'll update the spring rate thread with that of what is on kingmotorsports. Conekiller didn't really say where he got the rates from...so I think this is a better source

This subject has been bothering me since most civics srping rates are higher in the front and lighter in the rear, why are the ep's higher in the rear? Also with buddyclub's racing dampers specs are also higher in the rear only for the ep's other eg's, ek's are higher in the front. I understand the point of making the rear stiffer which will make the car rotate easier, but this also unbalances the car under extreme conditions like hard braking at a track. Spoon specifically makes their spring rates higher in the front to keep the car balanced, but why change it on our cars? Could someone plz explain to me.

I'm gonna take a wild guess here, so somebody feel free to correct me, but maybe it's because our car doesn't have the double wishbone suspension setup like the older civics? Maybe our macpherson strut combo up front requires a lower spring rate to balance it with the rear? Again, just guessin so dont kill me if I'm way off!
