Well, after reading everyone's posts talking about grounding cables, I decided to give it a try and see if it was hype. After gathering the parts and producing a rough set of grounding wires I installed them. I must say it did make a difference. Everything feels smoother and throttle response is greatly improved. Anyway, here's a pic.

So these are home-made? Where do you buy that size wire?

You can buy the wire and the terminal ends at any car audio store.

Actually, the wire I used was just 10 gauge speaker wire and the ends which was the hardest to find can be gotten from a hardware store. ie: Home Depot, Lowes, Sutherlands. It took about an hour to measure, make and install. Like I said though the hardest part was just finding the connectors. The audio stores that I went to didn't have the connectors I Liked and would be will to fork over the money for. I just wanted to see if they worked like everyone else said they did. I didn't want to spend 2 or 3 dollars a connector just for testing.

I just bought the wire to do it myself where I work, I got 11' of 4 guage for $2. Plus they threw in the terminals at no charge.

I wonder if the larger gauge wire makes a difference? I used the 8 gauge just because I had it left over from some car audio work I did on another car.

I was wondering that too, when I first checked our inventory it showed we had 2 gauge and 8 guage. So I was going to use the 2 guage, but every grounding kit I found for sale is using 4.

I don't know it might make a difference, but also you have to consider that you can only ground something so much.

i work in sales for an electrical distributor out of michigan and we stock thousands of feet of 4awg, 6awg, 8,awg. we even have that stuff up to 350kcmil. i made my own kit for free, but if i had to buy id say no more than 2.00. paying 40.00 for that kit is outrageous. but to answer that question any electrical supply warehouse will have the flexible (welding) cable that u need.
