Does anyone know where to get a k24 block? And how do u think it will respond to hondata?

Your best bet would be a junkyard or ebay. Being in the right place at the right time is important too. It should respond nicely to hondata, if your running the a2 head on the k24 block. The only problem with the hondata is because the k24 has a longer stroke than the k20. Because of this, at high rpm the ft per min pistion speed is very fast. If overevving or constant high rpm operation occurs you might be picking up pieces.

Jack's original K24 revs past 7500, as does hasport's and numerous other frankenstein k24 setups. I know that having that much of a longer stroke sucks....but these people have been revving their k24's for a very long time now w/o serious problems....which leads me to believe that the K24, like pretty much every other honda motor, is over-engineered.

As much as id like that to be the case, only time will tell.

Most street driven cars are only in the extreme high rpm very shortly. I was saying that prolonged high rpm operation can and will lead to catastrophic engine failure. This type of abuse is normaly found in road race cars. Where the name of the game is keeping the engine in "power band" or upper rpm's. With a 99mm stroke, stock rods and continious 8000+ rpm the engine will destroy itself.

I figured that much....7500 would prolly be the max I'd push out of that motor, and on stock internals that pushing it. Maybe a de-stroker kit would help it? I guess that'd be somewhat defeating the point though :(
