Nice numbers, anyone break the 160whp barrier?:D

Here's the baseline numbers from my factory stock Si so you can have something to compare it to (since all dynos are different).

Run 1: Max Power = 133.18
Max Torque= 120.33
67 degrees

Run 2: Max Power = 135.22
Max Torque= 121.56
67 degrees

Run 3: Max Power = 133.91
Max Torque= 118.33
68 degrees

I think the highest numbers were from SubliminalSi with 151 WHP and ? Torque

I forgot to mention freidaddy also dynoed.......but for some DUMB reason it wont let me go back and edit it. I keep getting that stupid error message. Anyways.....it was Alex who dynoed the highest with 151whp/132wtq his name on here is !@#$%;)

so the V2 and a cat back will net about 10 whp ... interesting. thanks for dyno-ing and sharing the numbers. for me, the V2's numbers don't really seem to justify the price. (how much did you pay for it, 1fastminivan?)

what mods does !@#$% have?

Edit: i just say dtexan's post about his dyno with a K&N typhoon and magnaflow cat back. he got similar numbers to 1fastminivan's.

I paid $255 shipped from Showstoppers and I think someone on here found it cheaper..242 shipped?? Honestly AEM should lower the price on this intake BUT it is a very nice intake as far as the little power and SOUND.......I think it was the deepest/growliest/loud from the other intakes that were on the other EPs. Sounds very very agressive.

!@#$% has Injen CAI, DC header, Skunk2 catback.....funny how with silencer he had 151whp/132wtq.....w/o silencer150whp/121/122wtq then put the silencer back on and jumped back up to 151whp/132wtq. So tonight I put my HKS silencer on and I can actually feel it a little more torquier....as far as topend....I dunno.....was raining and didnt want to get on it too much....but torque is def. noticable now with the silencer.

Also SubliminalSi did dyno at 152whp at Jotechs dyno and 148whp on VSVs dyno.

Growliest intake for sure. There really is no better way to describe this thing and you have to hear it to believe it. Hearing the V2 scream at WOT yesterday pushed me away from thinking aobut the Icebox and more about the V2.

i'll be able to scan my three run dyno sheet sometime next week when I get the highspeed internet up and running on my dell. People just have to see the differences between the overall horsepower and torque when I removed the silencer. I was roughly 10 hp and 10 tq down at all rpms in the band but it spiked like crazy at around 6500....BEFORE the rev limit spike. Strange because I haven't ran at the track with the silencer. Theoretically my car should be faster overall with it. I will find out on feb 20 when I can compare it to my 15.4 run that was with 10 less wtq.

dtexan

My numbers were
Max Power = 148.71 Max Torque = 129.02
I wonder if he had the silencer in the exhaust like !@#$% if his numbers would have been higher. The K&N intake sounded really good more of a deaper tone compared to the rest

Edit: i just say dtexan's post about his dyno with a K&N typhoon and magnaflow cat back. he got similar numbers to 1fastminivan's.

my point was for all the hype surrounding the V2's supposed gains, it doesn't show any more power than a regular SRI when paired with an exhaust.

i'm sure it sounds great, but i'm more interested what kind of power gains it provides.

To be quite honest, I don't think there's ever gonna be much difference in power gains between intakes. They're all pretty much engineered the same way. I mean I know the V2 was supposedly a pretty technical engineering project, what with the 2 different size tubes and all that, but...c'mon, isn't one just as good as another?

my max was 160.1whp and 130.2wtq
and my mods are hondata ecu, hondata intake manifold gasket, trust short ram, and custom 2.5 cat back... and it was two days after an oil change, 91 oct. gas with oct. booster... my 1/4 was 14.86 t.s. was 94.65mph... i guess that my car is pretty fast with a K20A3

thats high dyno numbers man...nice job!

1/4 is equally as impressive
got a slip to verify it?

My runs: 139.45hp 123.131b-ft
136.34hp 121.35lb-ft
135.84hp 120.97lb-ft
138.71hp 123.95lb-ft

With using the ebay intake and weapon-r filter my AF is totally screwed up. Im going to get the V2 intake and redyno. Im hoping the new intake will give me better results.

I havent decided on what header to get either.

damn, NemesisITR..I was expecting more out of your car since you had hondata. On average, you are at 162HP at the crank:(

Although I wouldn't give up my Hondata flash, Hondata really needs to remove those charts on their website for the A3. Very misleading. I want to try and hit 160whp with my mods but it doesn't look too likely. :(

ya, i was really disappointed. I was expecting much better. The added acceleration must be 100% gearing.

I will probably save my income tax and try to find a type s motor to build up.

yea the A3 blows and hondata's charts are a scam:'(

I wasnt expecting the Hondata to give me HP. It is only optimized with cold air, header, and exhaust. I have a fucked up intake and custom exhaust. My hp should be better with a better intake and header. Hondata just raises the rev limiter and when you shift at the higher limit you are at a better rpm in the next gear. Plus it all depends on the dyno too.

I wanted the Hondata flash cause I needed more rpm for the road course and im not going to buy an A2 head. Id rather save my money and by dc5r motor that comes with tranny and lsd for a couple more thousand.

I'll redyno when i get the intake. Not sure when ill get it and when ill get the header too.

yea I was shocked that NemesisITR got those #'s, I got on the dyno 145hp and 128tq with aem cai, dc header, custom exhaust(R1 muffler with flowmaster 2.5 pipe) and a skrewy head. Need to get it worked on or get an A2 head.:'( ;)

If I'm not mistaken, didn't they show a substantial gain with just Hondata alone on their website? At least that's what they advertised for the RSX. But then again, your intake could be messing things up. You wouldn't happen to have a baseline dyno for your car, do You?

btw, I have to see this ultra-gutted car of yours. How much does it weigh now?

The dynos were done with the hood open and a fan blowing on the engine. Everyone at the meet used the same dyno for all the runs

from hondata website: The K20A3-Si program advances the ignition, alters the cam timing and optimizes the fuel for a cold air intake, adding 4-9 ft lb across the rev range.

Gain 10-12 hp on a stock car. add cai, header, exhaust gain maybe a couple more hp. I still think its my intake. Im thinking of putting my stock one back in just to see. My cars dry weight is 2550lbs + - 10lbs and I thought you have seen my car? If your ass came out more often then you could see it!!

I'll try to come out a little more often. As for MSR, hmmm.. I can just see myself flying off the track cuz my dumbass didn't know any better and stabbed the brakes after taking a corner too fast.

Hey, remember that audio shop next to VSV? I swung by today to ask about the Memphis amp that was pointed out to me on Saturday, and now the guy wants me to get this bigger Memphis amp. He told me that a Class AB amp would be a bad idea to run a sub, even it's only a tiny 8". I'm only looking for a little more thump in my music, and not something to shatter glass. On top of that, while we were talking, someone called him and he answered the phone. I couldn't help but overhear him saying that his bank account was empty or something like that. Kind of makes me nervous about that shop. They don't seem to get much business, which makes me wonder if they'll be there tomorrow if I should need them.

I really enjoy my magnaflow nice combination with the K&N short ram in my opinion. Be prepared when you 1st put on the magnaflow its going to be loud. Just give it a couple of weeks and it while quite down a bit. Enjoy
