I see everyone put those imitation S2000 buttons in the hazard spot or other blank button, but i found an OEM S2000 button with relay etc, that will go under the side mirror controls.......that way it will be right there when the door is open....... i think it will look less tacky since it is a quality oem piece..... not that the others do look tacky but lets face it, a push button in a civic, thats just for our own kicks ya know. later folks, dave

um, good for you  but no one uses imitation stuff, everyone uses OEM s2k from their honda dealer.

I know the part # and the DIY is on here somewhere, but it's too early in the morning to search. So what is it, or what do you need to complete the install?

I think we ALL are using the OEM S2000 start button so that is nothing new.

Oh, and here is the link to a DIY.;)

rjammd, a member named Hamproof made a very detailed tutorial with photos.

The button I used is here:
http://www.tselectronic.com/gc/switches/35_457.html

Here are two diagrams of how to rig the button to your opener without soldering.

For openers with AA/AAA or Camera-style batteries:

For openers with Flat, calculator-style batteries:

Thanks for the help after I posted I remembered reading something about it before. I ordered my switch and should be hooking it up in a few days. Again thanks for the info and the wiring diagram.
