True, if you have a nice dealer. They will give you a loan car, if it takes more than a day. Or if you got the extra package, they will give you funds for you to get your own rental car. Then again, we need to see if they will fix it for free.

When mine went in the shop for the new transmission and clutch they paid the rental company for a car.

When I had to get my clutch changed they didn't give me a rental car, but they got it done that day.

even though they ended up fixing it on the same day, i got a loaner civic ex when i took my car in to have the moonroof repaired. i figured that was pretty standard, but maybe my dealer was just exceptionally nice.

I got a loaner Civic when they replaced my idler pulley but that was only because they didn't have the part in stock.

Honda, unlike its sister company Acura, does not have a corporate wide loaner policy. It is up to individual dealer to provide loaners. Some dealerships will offer free loaner or rental if the work takes more than certain number of hours, some will limit the offer to people who bought the car from that particular dealership. Some, don't offer loaners at all. You have to discuss the issue with your particular dealership.

My dealer offers loaners for many services, but not for routine maintenance.

It depends on the dealership, but to be honest I would highly doubt they'd give you one, based on your age.

YOu have to be 25 to rent a car, and I know that sometimes their loaner vehicles are rentals.

I get a loaner when ever my car is in for a full day or more of service. Was told that when I bought my car. They are giving me a loaner when they replace my rear window do to a bad defroster line.
