Well my auto choices have come down to 2 cars. The SiR of course is on the list but also an Acura EL 1.7
I am having difficulty choosing between the 2 as I would be very happy with both but for some reason, I can

What the hell is an Acura EL 1.7? I have never heard of one of these.

Sorry. The Acura EL is a Canada only Model. It is a dressed up civic with some extra goodies thrown in to make it an Acura.

So it is basicly a civic EX. Screw that get the Si or in your case the Sir.

Man that looks really strange to me - "Acura" followed by "EL 1.7"
I guess they'll call it anything to make it sell

Being I'm also in Canada, you can't compare both of those cars. They are both aimed at totally different markets.

the SiR is a much better car in all respects anyway you look at it. Even in terms of comfort the SiR is very capable, driving over six hours in our seats was piece of cake, I could have gone another six without any complaint. The rear seat room is very good too, only two doors but once your in there is lots of room. The 2.0L SiR engine is so much better for daiy driving, it would be a better choice IMO, dunno how costs compare but the SiR is worth spendnig a few more bucks if necessary. I think the fit, finish and chasis rigidity make it a better choice, not to mention the seats, steering wheel, and shifter combo.

I think you should also consider the Base RSX as a compromise between the 2. It is closer in price to the SiR but has more luxury (from what I hear)
