ok...i ordered my work cr's last week...i just ordered my tires 5 minutes ago....i went with the falken ze 512 205/45/16....my work cr wheels are 16x7...i wanted the falken ze 512 215/45/16 but they do not make them that size...i was told that there is a very small difference...can someone explain what the small difference is and if i will be able to tell the difference in handling?..

small difference is the 215 tire is wider by 10 mm, and no you will most likely not tell a difference

Yeah what he said, usually the sidewall is what you want to be picky about.

I don't know if I agree with the first 2 guys... the extra 10mm can make a huge difference especially if you attend track events. More rubber means more grip - great for cornering but bad for straight line speed. It is always a subtle balance between the two. ;)

205/45/16 Dia = 23.26 side wall = 3.63 width = 8.07

215/45/16 Dia = 23.61 side wall = 3.80 width = 8.46

Stock:
195/60/15 Dia = 24.21 side wall = 4.60 width = 7.67

look.... i new someone was going to come on here and start saying nobody on this thread is a good enough driver to tell the difference on what kind of tires i will be using...i am no professional driver by any means...but i know once and awhile we will take our cars out on a back road and let it un wind a little...and some of us can tell if there is any difference in feel or grip from the tire to the surface...so please i am not trying to say i am a expert driver but i know i can tell the difference in tires somewhat...i was just wondering if anybody had the same tire set up that i had, and had some advice to how they are, and the differnce in handling it makes ....hope this clears things up.
