I see you are in boston, MA. Good luck getting your hand on the shift knob this winter and then more luck to you trying to get the hand off of it :D

You may want to reconsider this modification.

Do a search for the Spoon shift knob. There's a black, polished, and titanium one now.

i have a knock-off type r shift knob...and it is chrome or whatever... and i live in florida... in the morning it so cold during the winter that i am thinking about putting a sock over it, and during the summer it will give me third degree burns.

I just go the SPoon Ti shift knob.
ALthough it is cold to the touch when I get in my car it warms instantly! It's unbeleivable how fast it warms up. It actually feels warmer then your hand within 2-3 seconds.
Improves shifter feel alot!

The throw feels much better. The stock knob is too tall.

To get a idea, try holding the stock knob near the base and shifting, it feels alot more positive, but you obviously can't grip the knob properly.
