JR Racing Header

has anybody in here bought the jackson racing race header? With their intermediate pipe(which replaces the CAT), they are saying it increases WHP by almost 20. Can anybody here confirm that? Im looking for a header now.. and if these numbers are right.. I might have to go with this.

That 20 HP gain was possible only because the header was used in conjunction with the supercharger

he listed his mods and no supercharger was on there....anyway it would be way higher that 163whp with a supercharger dont you think?

correct, he doesnt have a supercharger.

About $400 or so.... ;) :)

don't know of an actual head to head comparo, but they seeem to have similar gains. anjapower on here has the Comptech & recently dynoed

although, judging from pics, the Comptech seems to be of better quality, as far as the welds & steel used.

Has anyone seen a dyno with the JR header and a hi-flow cat welded into the test pipe?

all headers smell once they are put in. i wanna know about these dyno numbers!!! i need to buy a header and i dont know which one is best yet. Does this pipe that replaces the cat still 50 state Carb leagel? cause i have MD tags and they test for smog

Summitracing.com has them for $46?.?? + 8.95 handling fee SHIPPED. You have to call them, cuz it's not in the catalog.
I will be ordering one soon, the 2 piece race header versus the type-s version is the adaptors (2nd piece, bottom, b-part, test pipe part, what ever you wanna call it) are the only difference, the upper part (header) is exactly the same.
Not Carb legal, off road only. Eliminates the cat.
Just use it, then replace before the next smog test ;) .
All of Comptech is over priced! They are proud of their stuff.

Yes. CEL will come up with Race header.
Get 02 Sim to get rid of CEL.
