last tuesday i ordered my koni yellows... front and rear of course. well the tirerack.com told me that the rears wouldnt be in stock til february 10th. so i figured that would be ok, i can wait. but i just called them and they that they wont be in stock til march 1st. now... if i have to, then ill wait... but does anybody know anywhere when i can get them sooner? cuz i have to wait for these to come in before i can install my springs/rims/rear sway and tie bar... etc. cuz the install price is aLOT cheaper all at once. anybody help me?!

I got mine from www.importhorizon.com they redid some things on their site so you might have to call. Also, make sure you get the right ones for the front

I bet people are too worried to modify the front struts to put the koni inserts in.

As for the fronts, koni now needs to know if you have a 50mm or 55mm diameter on your stock strut body. in late 02 and through 03, they (Honda) started replacing the front struts with the bigger 55mm in hopes of illiminating the sounds people would get.
So if you have a 55mm strut body and they send you the ones for the 50mm, your insert won't stay still inside the strut.

more info on the front struts from koni, they list two:

8610-1415 Sport for 55mm outer diameter housing
8641-1416 Sport for 50mm outer diameter housing

well i haven an 03... so they should have the 55 mm... and that is what i ordered... cuz when i searched on tire rack, i put in 2003 honda civic si hatchback... and that is what came up. so they should be right... if they arent... then ill find out tomorrow i guess... that would really blow if they are wrong.

So I could just measure the outside of the strut housing to get an idea?

yeah, just use something to where you can get a good measurement of the shock's diameter, like above the perch or below it.

Well I just went out and measured the strut housing just below the lower spring perch and it looks like they didn't change the front struts for the 04 cars after all. My car is fitted with the 50mm not the 55mm.

good thing you checked. I remember the guy from koni saying it did vary.
