What is the size of our stock wheel?
350mm?
320mm?

ALSO
Is it illegal to remove your stock wheel and put an after market one in? Because it doesn't have an SRS unit? Also, would a JDM ITR steering wheel swap be considerded illegal too? It has an SRS unit.

Yah, but I am at work, and I want to look for a replacement wheel of the same size. If nobody knows off the top of their head, it's cool.

I just measured mine and if they mean O.D. then I'd say 350mm.

I think it could possibley be different from state to state, but here it isn't a good idea to taking out anything that has to do with safety. Yet if you are swapping out for the JDM ITR, and that has SRS. Then I don't see any problem other than money. Well also that it works correctly.

I am trying to get an ep sterring wheel to work in my eg. It's been done, look! This is pretty much the whole reason I am asking. I don't know if I can get the SRS to work.

Steering wheels(Momo)are the same, the difference is the cruise is on the opposite side of the wheel. The bag it's self may be the same however, the clockspring wiring is completely different on the european version. I bought one and converted the cruise to the right side using my SI bag housing and changing the actual bag out of the bag cover, so I could maintain the factory red H.

Rey:
Also if you disconnect the wiring for the SRS, it will throw a code and your SRS light will come on and remain on until you hook it back up. BTY Took the Type R gauges apart, the black housing is also different, it has a hole in it for the cluster light dimmer. Back to the drawing board.

one point that may or may not be a problem when switching to a EP3R whhel is that the newer civics have a two stage SRS stystem, meaning, it adjusts the strength of the airbag depending on the severity of the impact. on your eg, you may only have a more basic single stage SRS. the possible problem i see, is that the old style SRS brain will not know what to do with the newer bag. so, the brain will either ignore the second inflation stage, or be confused and put the SRS light on. i would go to your honda dealer, see the service department, and ask them if the two systems are interchangeable.

imo, changing to a wheel without a bag, would be a no no, since i think its illegal in all states.

What dash is that inside of that EG? I had an EG too and it wasn't like that.. maybe its an integra dash? I know they are interchangable.. well, a buddy of mine told me that :)

Thanks all, I will look into that. Sorry to hear than dane. If it becomes too much trouble, you can sell it on ebay for a pretty penny.....
