Leather seats in a 2002 si???

i just came back from the honda dealership. i was looking at the si 's just to see if they changed anything since i've got mine. and thats when i seen that they had new leather seats or at least they looked leather. it had black stitching. it said 2002 on it, but aren't those supposed to be on the 2003 models????

UNLESS IT WAS MODIFIED, IT HAD TO BE AN 03..... YOU SHOULD HAVE LOOKED AT THE MONTHS IN THE DOOR BECAUSE ANYTHING AFTER THE 8 MONTH IN 2002 FOR HONDA BECOMES THE NEXT YEAR CAR. THIS IS HOW IT USED TO BE ON THE OLDER CARS. I GUESS THIS IS HOW IT STILL WORKS

the 02 Si had factory installed leather, so it doesnt meant that the one you saw was a 2003, the 02 had leather too:D

don't know bout you guys, but i'll take the suede seats or whatever they're made out of over the leather.:D

there is leather seats i saw them in an 02 si
it was on the si that was sitting inside the dealership
they are pretty nice but

Leather was never an option. In fact there are only 2 Si's to choose from, one with side impact air bags and one without.

19k MSRP without and 19.5k with.


No leather.

Probably some aftermarket leather kit was installed on the car.

I'll agree with EP3 tho, I'll keep my seats as is. No sitting on a dead cow for me thanks ;)

sorry i didnt mean that the leather was a "factory" option, but my guess is that depending on your dealership, you can have leather as a "dealer" option, i know for sure though that the leather was on the Si seats though not the RSX, the seats also had the Si emblem stitched into it, this dealership also had leather in their 02 civic sedan, ill try to snap some pics if i can, in my option i would take the factory seats over the leather, the wrapping of the leather over the seats didnt look very smooth, in the corners the leather seemed bunched together, personally i dont think any one missed out

It was probably an option on the 2k2 Si like it was on the 2k Si. There are very few 2k Si's with leather and I think that the Honda dealers that had them had to have it done locally.

At some dealerships, they send the cars out and add custom leather and pin stripes and crap like that. It's good for markup.

I like my seats better than leather ones. They're sportier (is that a word?)
