Honda caved and is fixing my SI!!!

For anyone who remembers, about 3 months ago my car broke cause the differential sheared. Well today we finally got something back from the BBB saying that Honda has to fix our car because the car is in exceptional condition and shows no signs of abuse according to a specialist as well as 3 inspections performed by the BBB. I'll put up exactly what was said when Andy gets back from filling out paperwork. *jumps for joy*

Glad to hear you will be ok with this, I felt really bad about what happened to you. Yet I wasn't sure what to do about it.

Well we dont know yet. Sounds like we're getting our money back and it is going under warranty/defect so I'll tell you when I know. I was just so excited to find out my car will be drivable I had to tell you guys. ^_^

Well the trashed tranny is sitting in my garage. I don't think it's going with the car. I won't know til they pick it up. I'd post the BBB stuff but Andy took it from my desk and didn't tell me. = P I'll try and get it up tomorrow. It's good stuff. ^_^

keep the tranny if at all possible. I'll give you some loot if the parts I need from inside are still useable!

If it's going to be covered under warranty, I think the honda requests the parts back for inspection.

Wow pics gives a lot of info. Just wondering why did Honda give you a problem? Was it the mods? The trans looks to be a defect. When I looked at the parts if it was not a defect I would think there would be more dammage to the other parts and just not there.

It was the air intake and our ages. I'm 21 and my bf is 24. The 1990 SI has 0 problems. Ocsasionally something that's old needs some replacing but beyond that, it's a very very good car. The 02 - pshh - 14000 miles and it died. = /

The BBB had to tell Honda they are screwy and to fix my car. They looked at my car like 3 times. Guess it was really hard to call since my car is in pristine condition (beyond the front bumper).

fuck the synchros. I just need the gears & shafts. but if htere are any good synchros, I'll take them out for you, and you can pimp them on ebay for a buck or two. :)

Yeah they wanted all the parts back in the vehicle. It's in the shop starting today. Now the countdown begins again. Will it be one day til i get it back or a month!

Heh I didn't deal with it. My bf did, same person who got the car dropped from $20k to $14.5k cause they treated us like shit and he felt the need to speak to the gm about it. ^_^
