Has anyone installed a Hondata ECU along with a JRSC and dynoed it? I am looking into doing it, but was just wondering how it performed. Let me know. Thanks!

Hondata makes a tune that is just for the race version of JRSC. The standard hondata tune will not work with boost. The programmable will.

My understanding is that the Hondata gives you no appreciable gain in horsepower in either case... it merely reprograms your power band!;)

That is what I know of the standard tune. It would seem that the Hondata tune for boost does make hp improvements. Hasport used the hondata tune over the JRSC controller. The Type-S dynos on the race version using the hondata tune show improvements over the JRSC controller. I think that Hondata was a little more ambitious with the JRSC setup showing gains and the programmable unit is vastly more configurable than the JRSC controller. The JRSC controller is limited to fuel control, where the Hondata programmable unit is a total engine management solution.
