These are as wide as I found you could go and not rub. They are +40 offset rims. I wanted to try this size out. Did not cost me anything, so I figure I run them for a week and see how they work. There is an interference with the outer fenders, and if you bottom out you will hear it.

I have 225/45/16s on +45 offset wheels and there is no rubbing/interference at all. I thought that was as wide as one could go. Apparently you can go a little wider but might rub occassionally.

anybody know if a 225/45-17 will fit?

225/45/17's are what I had on before (P7000's) They are the same overall diameter as the 235/40/17's just wider.

since the 35s are wider, did you have any rubbing with the 25s?

No rubbing with the 225's, I may end up going back to the 225's because you have to be extra careful with the 235's and the conservative drop I have. The offset is as far in as I want to go as well.
