ROUGHLY 300(mylovinsir) to 1700 new from the dealer...

usually you can catch then on ebay, clubrsx, or ephatch,or honda-tech for 600-800 out the door..;)

hey if you got the RSX-S intake manifold would that help our ep out any or would we need the a2 head to make it work

Yep, single intake runner. While the base RSX has a duel intake runners.

and the intake manifold are the same in the si and the type s.. the head would help a little more

Hondata tested the DC5R intake manifold and only got a few horses out of it in the 7500rpm range. It has 3mm larger diameter in the runners over our A3 and A2 IM's. The A2 head is worth at least 20whp over a stock EP. *(untunned)

Things that would also need to be done with the A2 head include relocating the vtec engagement (~4500rpm) and revamping the timing/cam angles to get full effect with the lower compression. I plan to use the A2 hondata map provided with the programmable ECU and tune from there.
