Dyno

Well, just got back from the dyno. I did two runs:

1st run 127.9hp and 102.77lbs
2nd run 126.9hp and 99.53lbs

Factory w/ Injen shortram
I was kinda embarrassed, I was the only one without F/I. But, it was free so what the hell.
This was done on a DYNOmite dyno.

I don't know if the dyno had any affect on the numbers or their laptop miscalculated or they entered the wrong info. But I swear, when we did the first run, the computer said 111 lbs of torque. But the printout showed different. These torque numbers seemed a little low to me. Anybody else? This was my first dyno and I may be overlooking something.

I've never heard of a "dynomite" dyno; perhaps it reads differently than other dynos.

ur number are way low for stock... even a 00SI makes that much torque. and ur hp is like 10hp short of stock.. something went wrong, or ur car is broken.

Well, my car isn't broken and it was free because Mobile Electronics rented it out for the day, I went in there to check on some tint and they told me to go get on the dyno. Are there dynos made for V8s, maybe it was a V8 dyno. Or he could have entered in wrong info on the laptop, that would affect the numbers. We were rushing so we could go to lunch so there is no telling. Hell I don't know. But, the engine sounded great peaked out.

OK, I let my brother look at the graph and he showed me where they measured the HP and TQ at. They measured at 6538 rpms. After that the Hp went up slightly. So it's a little over 130hp mark. There was a slight loss in torque starting at 5300 rpms, so peak is about 111 to 115 rpms. Sorry for the confusion, but the graph goes up to 800hp. And my lines were squished together down at the bottom. This still may be off a little bit. I know my cars pretty quick. I care more about 1/4mi than HP and TQ.

What gear did you dyno in? My car made 137hp in 4th gear, but fell off considerably in 3rd gear, down to numbers similar to yours. Never found out if it was the dyno or if my car is messed up.

Today... 7 ep's on the dyno... all in 4th gear pulls... all from 134-148 n/a --- one 230+ Turbo

butt dyno says that i have about 180 hp to the crank. gotta love the butt dyno. :cool:
