I own a ep3, but i am hesitant to modify it. there are many options but it does not yield high-horsepower unless massive amounts of money is invested. I am debating, if i should buy EK9 civic HB and spend my money on that. I have 18,000 to spend on either car. But a EK9 civic with 18,000 on it would produce alot more power (350hp boosted, including the price of the car). Plus, i would have two cars. However, if i spend 18,000 on my ep3 it would also be a good car. If i spent my money on my ep3, it would be a k24, k20 type-s swap. And the k24 would be bored out to be a 2.6 liter naturally aspirated motor. I am so confused!

wouldn't 350 whp involve massive amounts of money also?

seems like you're comparing apples and oranges. a boosted EK9 and an NA EP3 are two different beasts.

You should go with the k24 bottom end, stroke it, sleeve it, forged pistons (9.0 comp),rods, and totally balanced crank. K20 head p&p(but have the intake ported bigger and polished smoother than the exhaust), the whole toda valvetrain, 3 angle valve job. Have a custom turbo setup made to push at least 2bar. And of course three inch exhaust, stage 3 clutch, i/c,and m/m. I am not sure of the cost of all of this but that would be one kick ass setup. It would deffinatly push you over 350hp
