Will it hurt the car to shift at 5k all the time? I know it will burn more gas/oil, but do you think the motor can take it? I also wonder if the clutch will wear out faster even though I shift it relatively smoothly. I don't do this constantly but at least 2 or 3 times a day it hits 5k in 1st and 2nd.

I'm always doing the same thing. And from my experience with Hondas....They're MADE to be driven like that. I wouldn't worry about it too much. You may wear out the clutch sooner than later...but that engine should be fine with doing so.

My car wants to go to 5K all the time.
It just begs me.
If it was bad for it, I don't think it would be so
willing. Our cars were made to rev high, and I
don't think 5k is a problem. Or maybe our cars are
naughty, and sometimes they need to be spanked.:D
