Battery : This battery consists of a special alloy with low self-discharge. The original separators guarantee sufficient capacity. This lightweight and long lasting battery offer stable operation for extended period.

I've done some serious research on this, and most of the "racing" lightweight batteries are just rebadged Hawker Genesis batts, that you can get here (http://www.surplusev.com/) for very cheap. You should do fine with a G13. It weighs 11lbs vs our stock ~25lbs, and it costs $30 (plus shipping and hardware that can be fabbed)

Hmm. I was going to mention that some Mustang guys have been going w/ a battery known as the "Dynabat" but after reasearching for a few minutes, I found that it's a rebadged Hawker Genesis battery, just as Blastech and others have mentioned.

It beats the Dynabat price of close to $150 too

Does anyone know if this battery would support about a 1200w stereo, or so? Also, how does it do in 100+ and below freezing temperatures?

Thanks!

Well your battery really doesn't have much to do with the stereo itself, unless you play your stereo with the car not running. Once the car is started, your alternator takes over.

Consider the Hawker Genesis labeling says that removing the labeling will hurt the battery life (it probably exposes something), and the DynaBatt is notorious for its short life...

jaydub is right. The difference lies in if you run the car or not, that and extreme-cold starts. The battery is there solely to start the car and run accessories when the car is off. The G13 wont run that stereo for very long. But with the engine cranked, it will play until shortly after you run out of gas. There also might be a problem if you wanted to start up and kill your engine 10 or more times in rapid repetition.

Ya knocking off 2 lbs from your battery, and adding a hundred pounds worth of speakers and amps is gonna make a big diff!!:D :D :D j/k
