has anyone got this replaced under warranty due to flaking?
I notified my dealer when I was getting some work done to look into getting the button replaced because it's flaking bad. They called me to let me know the part was in stock and to come pick it up. But I don't want to pay for it. I want it replaced under warranty. Is it possible or is it considered wear & tear and stop being a cheap ass?

Yes, and he is not the only one. They should replace it for you at no cost (if you still have your warranty). If they give you any problems, you give um hell :D

Even if you don't get it replaced under warranty, it's a cheap piece.

they replaced my entire interior e-brake assembly. my original one had an edge that was recognizeable, and it was different when I got the car back. :D

Not on the weekends, the techs are there during the week. Night drop-off get a ride to work and ride to get the car ! Done. They don't keep your car for a week or anything.

um, since everyone's is flaking don't you guys think it'll just flake again when you get a new one? I heard it was best to let it flake then paint it or something, most likely black but thats irrelevant.
My warranty is up and mine is still flaking, you guys think I should just paint it black when it all comes off? Because Idk what to do.. or maybe I can find a chromery around here and get the little sucker chromed?
It's so gay.

To me, the Si is a great car, and good for the money, only $16k. But there IS kind of a lot of things wrong, wiper blades falling off, flaking on the button, bumper lense light out, the car doesn't do that honk when you lock the doors twice on the keyless entry, and the warranty is up! Money in the wrong places :'(

Hey guys,
finally got the button replaced. Pretty good, no questions asked or
hassles. They tightened the cable pretty good and gave it a wash.
It was funny that they gave me a $50 coupon towards purchasing an
extended warranty. I'm not getting it though.
