Well so far i have AEM intake,dc header, and a greddy catback. I was told to swap my head to an rsx type s head. Is this a good idea? What is involed to do this? And where can I get the head at a good price? Also does anyone know of a good mild cam swat i could do and where i can get it? I will be getting a hondata ECU but first want to do all the other mods first. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The head swap is a great mod if you can find it at a reasonable price. Don't bother trying to purchase it retail, not very cost effective. If you get the head done, you will need the A2 flash or stock A2 ECU to drive it and larger fuel injectors (310cc).

around here A2 heads and ECUs go for $700-$1000 for both, don't bother w/hondata if you're swapping an A2 head on 8,000 rpms is plenty on an A3 bottom end (ie the A3 bottom end is not as strong, think LS vtec, and shouldn't rev to 8,600 as the hondata would take the A2 up to) When you've got the A2 head on you can get Toda $1000, Skunk 2 $800 , or JDM CTR/ITR cams $700

im pretty sure our bottom ends (a2 and a3) are almost identical

as far as i know the only differences engine wise are the valvetrain (whats in the head) and their higher compression pistons

correct me if im wrong tho..

now is it a direct swap with ecu and head? or is it a LS/Vtec kind of technical thing?

it's not exactly like an ls/vtec (don't have to run an oil line or anything), just bolt the head on and plug in the a2 ecu (after having the dealer set the immobilizer to your key), regarding the bottom end, our a3 rods are not as strong as the a2 rods so 8,600 rpms may not be a good idea (ie keep the stock a2 ecu, don't get hondata w/a head swap)
