We were leaving to go to lunch and one of my co-workers was getting in the backseat of the bosses car and opens the door onto mine. It just barely hit it but enough to leave a small dent and transfer some paint. Sucks because it's in the rear panel of the car. I don't know if paintless dent repair can remove it.

ugh, those are the worst 1)the location of the dent 2)it's your co-worker, so you can't really get mad at the guy or make him pay.Well..yeah i suppose he should pay for it since he did it.

Yeah, I'm not really mad at him, he's a good friend of mine as well. It's a little frustrating though due to the location. It's definitely not worth repainting, I've only had the car 6 weeks. You think the dry ice might work?

take it to a good body shop, they should be able to take it out. look forward to paying $150+.

w/out knowing how bad the dent is, those guys who take them out with suction cups or what ever they use should also work.
I would avoid painting a car at all costs unless there is no way around because you can never get a quality paint job better than factory

I've had paintless dent removal done on a VERY difficult panel on my wife's New Beetle which we just got rid of. A GOOD paintless dent removal guy can do it.

$150 is probably what it would cost but I don't think it's worth it since the same thing could happen the next day. I guess I'll try the dry ice first (unless someone says it's a myth) and if that doesn't work I'll let the PDR guy look at it to see if it's fixable. What's so bad is that side protectors wouldn't have helped me, the shape of the guys door that hit mine is so slanted outward at the top it would have hit my car regardless.

Anyone ever tried the method of removal as described by this guy? Click here (http://realbig.com/miata/1996-07/1289.html)
