Hey people.

I'm having problems finding brake pads for the Si - Specifically the rears. Whenever I go into a pep boys, Strauss or other local auto supply for front pads I have to ask for the 2002 Civic EX pads (Same part number from Honda). My current problem is my OEM rears have finally given up the ghost and according to honda the rears on the Si don't crossreference to ANYTHING!! I can't see to find jack for the Si for rears without ordering off the internet a set of performance pads! There's a meet in MD this Saturday I don't want to miss, but if I don't get my hands on a set of pads for me to install by friday night I'm screwed... Anyone have any ideas to get basic rear pads FAST? I'm drivin my wife's focus here - It's KILLIN ME!!!!

Wasn't 02Silver selling a set of stock rear pads?

Also, I thought we could use the rears from the 99-00si (maybe that's
the front) or the base rsx.

I know for a fact RSX rears don't fit - base or type-s... Don't know about the 99-00si tho... Hmmm....

And 02silverSi BOUGHT a set of rears off of someone here.... Don't know if he wanted to resell them after that tho...

Why do you need new rear pads?

Don't replace them unless they are defective or worn down

Brakes wear on about a 3/1 ratio, that is you will probably
replace front pads 3 times before its time to change the
back.

Also, the front brakes do about 80% of braking, the rears only do
20%

I need new rear pads cause mine are worn out so completely the metal warning feelers would dig into my rotors if I drive anymore. I have legitimately needed rear bakes for a month now and can't find any. I have removed a pad and checked it. The meat is gone. They are shot to hell. Between having 39,000mi on the ORIGINAL rear pads and the last 9,000 of those miles being turbo'd and all the trips to the track and autoX courses I think they have done their duty well enough. Oh, I'm on my third set of front pads now too...

Get the hawk pads. I swapped out mine on the rear when I did the front wilwood kit. They are as good or better than stock pads.

The part numbers for the Hawk HPS are:

HB145F.570 - Rear Pads D537
HB275F.620 - Front Pads D465A

I ordered them from www.tirerack.com and are about 90 bucks for the 4 corners.

HTH Yep I was just on tire rack looking for the same thing. They have pads front and rear and rotors as well. At 46k I think I need to change mine too..
